Neva’s music is the result of an alchemy based on two essential parts:
An extraordinary tenor voice brings in a very classical theme, an omnipresent overdriven guitar kicks in with a Metal sound.

The band exists as it through musical creations, materialised in an album, “Mater Christi”, out on June 2002 under the band name of Wych-Elm.
We've released a new album with more thrilling songs, the band’s aim being now shooting them on stage. Everyone urges to get back live. Indeed, the band members aren’t stage newbies! As Remi, who was part of BLUE WOLF, one of the most recognized rock bands from Perpignan’s 90’s! Because of each of it’s member’s past, the band should quickly be under the spotlights!

How did they meet? Too long of a story, but one thing is for sure, random knows its way well! Eventually, from their own influences is born a sound in which any of them can find a tone, a reference, a note, or a style that affects him.

Rémi has been forged by rock and hard rock FM and progressive, from the eighties to nowadays: Toto, Saga, Rush, Iron Maiden, Boston, Accept, Fogath, Nazareth, and of course Dream Theater
. Yannick also was into rock and hard rock, with Iron Maiden, Faith No More, Dream Theatre, and… Dire Straits, that battery play have inspired him in his own actual style, efficient and powerful.
Patrick, him, has a more eclectic approach of music, and his influences, he gets them in every musical style, rock, jazz, ethnic music, African and Indian percussions, and whatsoever that “grooves”.
Eventually, Laurent, gets his inspiration in soul music and classical, and obviously rock with Sting, Queen, Steve Wonder, or Mozart and Puccini!

From these various origins emerged a very well balanced music, which combines with pleasure, everyone’s feelings, and results in something really new and original.

La caractéristique de la musique de NEVA réside en une alchimie de 2 composantes essentielles :
Une voix extraordinaire de « Ténor » apporte un coté lyrique, une guitare saturée très présente, donne un coté «métal ».

Le groupe existe bel et bien en tant que créations musicales avec un album,"Mater Christi" sorti en juin 2002 avec comme nom de groupe Wych-Elm.
Nous avons sorti un nouvel album avec des titres plus accrocheurs, l'objectif du groupe est maintenant de les présenter sur scène.

Comment ceux ci se sont il rencontrés ? Ce serait trop long à raconter, mais il est une chose certaine, c'est que le hasard a bien fait les choses ! Car finalement, de leurs influences respectives est née une musique dans laquelle chacun trouvera à un moment ou à un autre, un son, une référence, un clin d'oeil, à un style qu'il aime ou a aimé.
