A l’origine, FOLKS DIVINE est né de la guitare et de la voix de David Folkmar, mais il a rapidement su s’entourer et faire évoluer son projet vers une véritable aventure de groupe.

Ayant baigné dans un environnement culturel anglophone, David a été influencé par Radiohead, Elbow, U2, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam et même Peter Gabriel. Il a travaillé sur de nombreuses maquettes avec son acolyte, Paolo Pan, qui est également un auteur et compositeur. En 2008, David met quelques maquettes sur le site Akamusic, où 185 producteurs internaute ont été rapidement convaincus d'investir dans son single.

La rencontre avec Werner Pensaert (producteur - ingénieur - mixeur de titres pour des groupes comme K'Choice, Hooverphonic, Rammstein, Live, U2 et bien d'autres) a été une véritable révélation. Cette complicité se fait sentir sur les 3 titres de "Remember". Le single se distingue non seulement musicalement mais aussi grâce à sa couverture réalisée par ALVARI, un artiste belge talentueux (http://www.alvari.be).

FOLKS DIVINE is David Folkmar's project.

Author - composer - perfomer of Belgo-Danish upbringing, David was educated in an English speaking environment.

David was influenced by Radiohead, Elbow, U2, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam and even Peter Gabriel and has worked on numerous mock-ups with his acolyte, Paolo Pan, who is also an author and composer. In 2008, David put a few mock-ups on the Akamusic site, where 185 web surfer producers were rapidly convinced of investing in his single.

Meeting Werner Pensaert (producer - engineer - mixer of titles for bands such as K's Choice, Hooverphonic, Rammstein, Live, U2 and many others) was an absolute revelation. The pair hit it off immediately and this complicity can be felt on the 3 titles of the "REMEMBER" single! The single stands out, not only musically, but also thanks to it's cover realised by ALVARI, a talented Belgian artist (http://www.alvari.be).

FOLKS DIVINE (GODDELIJKE!) is het project van David Folkmar.

Folks Divine is opgericht door David. Op autodidactische wijze leert hij muziek spelen door nieuwe melodieën uit te proberen op zijn gitaar. Al snel legt hij de juiste contacten en doet hij zijn individueel project groeien tot een groep van vier personen.

David, auteur - componist - perfomer van Belgisch-Deense oorsprong, is in een Engels sprekende omgeving opgegroeid. David wordt door Radiohead, Elbow, U2, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam en zelfs Peter Gabriel beïnvloed. Hij heeft aan een groot aantal mock-ups gewerkt met zijn collega, Paolo Pan, die ook een schrijver en componist is. In 2008 zet David een paar mock-ups op de Akamusic site. 185 producenten waren snel overtuigd van een investering in zijn single.

De ontmoeting met Werner Pensaert (producer - engineer - mixer van titels voor bands als K's Choice, Hooverphonic, Rammstein, Live, U2 en vele anderen) was een absolute openbaring. Deze winstgevende medewerking kan op de drie titels van de "REMEMBER" single worden gevoeld! De single valt ook op dankzij zijn cover, gerealiseerd door Alvari, een talentvolle Belgische kunstenaar (http://www.alvari.be).
