Prometheus Nemesis
Crilin, of its true name Emmanuel Emile Denise Guy Decafmeyer, is a Belgian polyinstrumentist musician born on december 24 1973 in Brussels (Belgium).
Wanting at the beginning to play soprano saxophone and keyboard, he finally borrows daddy’s guitar (a 12 strings Martin/Sigma), on which he makes his first ranges, under the advised councils of his friend Benjamin Clément.
In 1991, he receives his first electric guitar: an olympic white Squier Stracocaster with a mapple neck. He covers the pieces of its Metal scene idols (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies).
In 1992 he composes his first pieces and plays with his band Stainless Steel, whose line-up will evolve until its dissolution in 1996. In parallel, he becomes the pupil of Alex von Buxhoeveden, a graduated guitarist from the Los Angeles Musician Institute (GIT).
Since 1994, he plays mainly on Ibanez guitars of RG series (6 and 7 strings), but also on basses, drums, and oud (a eastern fretless lute).
He enters in 1995 at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) where he carries out a double philosophical and sociological diploma, in Art History/Archeology and HR Management.
In this period, his classmates calls him “Crilin”, as the japanese manga « Dragon Ball » character, who he shares baldness. He continues to play for the pleasure, but his musical activities are put temporarily between brackets.
In 2008, he returns to the music ! Carrying out a double career of HR Consultant and Musician, playing, recording, and publishing his pieces by himself.
His first instrumental-concept-album “Symbolic” is under development.
