Frédéric Paul Lallet

He started piano at age of 7 through the Musical Confederation of France before pursuing in parallel his musical studies at the Marseilles Conservatory, presided at that time by pianist Pierre Barbizet. He studied counterpoint, harmony, and saxophone, graduating with a 1er Prix of Solfege in 1975.
At the age of 18 left the south of  France for Los Angeles.
Studied at the Dick Grove School of Music gratuating in Piano Jazz. Numerous Master Classes with top musicians and composers: Lalo Schiffrin, Henri Mancini, Pat Martino, Russell Ferrante...
Pianist composer and improvisor, his personal crossover style, close to the "Third Stream" movement (a synthesis of classical music and jazz music) blends a large sound palette ranging from Thelonious Monk to Charles Valentin Alkan.
His workmanship in writing and experimental improvisation has been officially acknowledged by the Superior National Music Conservatory of Paris.
He has recorded in duo and trio with the famous Eddie Gomez, double bass player of master jazz pianist Bill Evans, Chick Corea and Danny Gottlieb drummer of guitarist Pat Metheny.
He has also recorded with double bass player Viktor Dovskin, drummer Viktor Espaneshnikov and the german guitarist Werner Hucks.
He has recorded several short film music for the cabled TV and jingles for the radio.
Asked to compose and arrange for the recording of the gospels on compact disc, his work
received the official recognition of the national and international oecumenical authorities.
He received the Medal of Honor from the French Cultural Ministry in 1998 for his musical committment.
He gives recitals in several countries: Africa, Australia, USA and Europe.

Né à Dijon le 9 juillet 1960.
Commence le piano à l'âge de 7 ans par le biais de la Confédération Musicale de France et, à 10 ans, intègre le Conservatoire de Marseille dirigé par le pianiste Pierre Barbizet en classe de saxophone (Roger Pouzenc) et de Contrepoint, Harmonie (Georges Boeuf), 1er prix de Solfège en 1975.
Poursuit ses études aux USA à la Dick Grove School of Music de Los Angeles où il obtient son diplôme en classe de Piano Jazz.
Nombreuses Master Classes avec Lalo Schiffrin, Henri Mancini, Pat Martino, Russell Ferrante...
Pianiste compositeur et improvisateur, son style personnel dans la mouvance "Third Stream" (mélange subtil de classique et de jazz contemporain) s'imprégne d'une large palette sonore : de Thélonious Monk à Charles Valentin Alkan.
Sa maîtrise en écriture et improvisation expérimentale sera officiellement reconnue par le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
Il a enregistré en duo et en trio avec le célèbre Eddie Gomez, contrebassiste du pianiste Bill Evans, Chick Corea et Danny Gottlieb batteur du guitariste Pat Metheny.

Commandité pour la composition et l'arrangement des enregistrements des Evangiles sur compact disc, sa réalisation se verra recevoir le soutien officiel de toutes les instances oecuméniques nationales et internationales.
Il recevra la médaille d'honneur du Ministère de la Culture pour son engagement musical en 1998.
Il se produit en récital dans de nombreux pays notamment en Afrique, Australie, USA et Europe.
