Forestgirl, je m’appelle Forestgirl…
En réalité son nom est « Nathalie Descamps ». Forestgirl, elle, est née un jour de septembre 2008. C’est la belle histoire d’une vie, d’une aventure, d’une renaissance dans la forêt du Canada, à 4 heures au nord de Montréal où elle a vécu pendant un an et demi, au bord d’un lac, « Le Baskatong » (celui que vous apercevez sur la vidéo tournée un jour d’été «just for fun »).
Elle aimerait vous énoncer une liste de choses qu’elle a réalisée en tant qu’artiste : concerts, enregistrements, promo, concours, etc… Mais Forestgirl n’étant pas encore née, Nathalie se contentait d’écrire des mots et de composer des musiques qui lui venaient d’un endroit magique dans lequel elle n’avait aucun pouvoir. C’est Forestgirl qui s’est lancée, qui a eu la puissante vibration de faire partager sa musique et ses émotions, de vous toucher par son timbre et ses mots…
Aujourd’hui, son cœur et sa vie sont partagés entre la Belgique et le Québec et c’est très bien ainsi. Nathalie se pose souvent trop de questions, a trop souvent des doutes tandis que Forestgirl suit son intuition. Certains lui reprocheront son côté sauvage et trop libre mais d’autres l’aimeront pour ça et sa fragilité à fleur de peau...C’est sa fragilité qu’elle vous offre et sa force aussi, surtout sa force…

Forestgirl, my name is Forestgirl...
Actually her name is Nathalie Descamps. As for Forestgirl, she was born in September 2008. It's the wonderful story of a life, an adventure, a rebirth in the Canadian forest, four hours from north of Montreal where she lived for a year and a half, on the edge of a lake "The Baskatong" (the one you can see on the video shot one day in the summer "just for fun").
She would like to tell you about a list of things she did as a performer : concerts, recordings, promotion, contests...But as Forestgirl hasn't born yet, Nathalie would only write words and compose musics which all come from a magical place where she had no power. It's Forestgirl who stepped in and had the powerful vibe to share her music and her emotions, to touch you with her voice and her words...
Today, her heart and her life are shared between Belgium and Quebec and that's the way it should be. Nathalie often asks herself too many questions, is too often filled with doubts whereas Forestgirl just follows her intuition. Some people will reproach her her too wild and free mind but others will like her for the same reasons and also for her over sensitive fragility...It is that fragility she offers you and also her strength, mainly her strength.
